Southwest Washington Model Railroaders

The Southwest Washington Model Railroaders club was founded in 1972 and is located in Vancouver, Washington at 8100 East Mill Plain Blvd, behind the Safe Harbor Nazerene Church. 

Our members have interest in periods from early steam to current diesel operations using HO scale (1:87).

Display Layout

Measurements:        Overall dimensions                      14' X 34'
                               Track length                               625 feet
                               Scale track length                       Over 10 miles
Configuration:           Double track main line double crossovers.  One six track main
                               yard and four track staging yard.  Engine terminal with four diesel
                               engine tracks and a turntable with nine storage tracks for steam
                               locomotives.
                               Logging system with a main loop between the headquarters camp
                               and the mill and a woods line with two log loading tracks.
                               Headquarters camp has a turntable and yard tracks.
Industries:                Lumber mill, meat packing plant, lumber yard, internodial yard, oil
                               distributor, flour mill, metal fabricator, scrap yard, cement plant, cold 
                               storage warehouse, icing plant, (2) grain elevators, mine,
                               furniture factory, team track, warehouse and freight house.
Control Systems:       DCC (digital) control system is installed on the layout.
